Free photography session for independents

Funeralbooker is offering independent funeral directors a free professional photography session to boost their marketing appeal.

The online marketplace for small operators, which lets users compare local funeral directors’ pricing and service, has trialled this approach and is now rolling it out nationwide.

“A professional photographer will attend the funeral directors at a convenient date and time and photograph the outside of the premises, the interior, the staff and the vehicles,” explained founder James Dunn.

“The funeral directors gets 12 high quality photos they can then use on their website, and in the media etc.”

The pictures here show the staff and premises of Harrison Funeral Home.

“Lots of independents take immaculate care of premises and buildings and good photos can really help them sell themselves,” added James.

“The only thing we ask in return is they build a Funeralbooker account, but this is also free. We take a 10% commission only for each funeral booked through the site and only on the funeral director’s fees.”

Funeralbooker has also sourced a £750k investment to help further invest in technology, marketing and operations, helping smaller players expand online.
