Skydive raises grand total
Ed Brunskill, manager of two of the Fairways Partnership’s branches in West London, has raised £1,000 for charity – and managed to fulfill a long-held ambition at the same time.
He did a sky dive in September to raise funds for St Luke’s Hospice in Harrow.
“A skydive had always been a lifelong ambition,” said Ed, who looks after the Andrew Holmes and Son and HC Grimstead branches.
“But the opportunity has never really arisen before. However, when I saw a poster advertising this event in the hospice shop window in Pinner, I was immediately drawn to it. A colleague suggested I give it a go.
The lead up to the jump wasn’t without trepidation though.
“I must admit to a feeling little nervous with a few weeks to go,” added Ed, (pictured in black, with master tandem jumper Andy Ford in red).
“But the support and generosity of donations from friends, colleagues, and even some recent clients, amazed and touched me and realised then I couldn’t let them down.”
