Scotland: Fosters pick up two awards
Fosters Family Funeral Directors has picked up two honours at the inaugural Scottish Funeral Awards.
The firm, which opened its first parlour in Rutherglen in 2005, was named Best Brand Funeral Directors, and also scooped the accolade for providing the best premier package in recognition of its Classic funeral.
It also came runner up in the Best Funeral Premises category, with its 18 parlours located around the country providing the highest level of care and catering to the needs of those requiring Fosters’ services.
The awards were presented by judges at an official ceremony in Glasgow’s Marriott Hotel, after a public vote secured its place among the finalists.
Fosters Family Funeral Directors, which employs more than 90 members of staff, had been shortlisted in five categories: Best Brand Funeral Company; Best Funeral Premises; Best Gold Package: Best Silver Package and Best Bronze Package.
Ronnie Wayte, CEO of Fosters Family Funeral Directors, said: “We are extremely proud to win the accolade for Best Brand, and the recognition we have received for our Premier funeral offering is testament to the fact we deliver exactly what the package promises.
“We are committed to offering packages designed to meet the needs of families, but at a lower price point. We have a well established reputation for providing incredible value and we are delighted to have won an award for the premier service we offer.”
