Lancs awards go to Champs
Champ Funeral Services in Clayton-Le-Moors, Accrington, Lancashire, landed two major awards in the 2019 Hyndburn Business Awards.
Lianna Champ, founder and managing director of Champ Funeral Services, took the award in the Enterprising Woman category, and the company also took the prize in the Made in Hyndburn category, presented to Lianna and funeral director Carl Taylor.
The company was also a finalist in the Small Business Award section.
More than 50 organisations, businesses and individuals were named as finalists in the awards, the fourth event organised in the Lancashire district, and attended an awards ceremony last month at Accrington Town Hall.
Chair of organisers Enterprising People Rob Carder said: “The people of Hyndburn have been incredibly supportive of the awards and this year we received the highest ever number of nominations. The judging panel had a difficult job to do because the quality of the entries received was very high and so some categories have up to six finalists.”
