Bereavement group launched
Douch Family Funeral Directors is launching a free monthly bereavement group, led by counsellor Cindy Weller.
Held monthly, sessions will include tea and biscuits, as well as a sympathetic ear and advice.
As funeral directors are well aware, grief can manifest itself in a huge range of unexpected ways and becomes depression. Bereavement counselling can provide support.
“We support several bereavement charities and wanted to help further,” said Emma Regan from the Douch group (on the left of our picture with Cindy).
“At funerals we often wish we could follow-up and help those we see, and this bereavement group will allow us to do that in a small way.
“Our Ferndown branch, AE Jolliffe & Son, will be supporting the meetings and we are inviting anyone in the community – no matter how long it is since they lost a loved one.
Douch Family Funeral Directors, based in Ferndown, Wareham, Poole, Upton, Wimborne, Swanage, Blandford and Corfe Mullen, has been helping families with funeral arrangements for over 100 years.
Branches include Douch & Small, A E Jolliffe & Son, Albert Marsh, James Smith, Ives & Shand and Lesley Shand Funeral Service.
