The aim for the day is “to empower individuals to deliver the very best support to those who are working with the bereaved” and talk topics include mental health, suicide awareness, baby loss, child bereavement, and anatomy and bequeathals. The day will be of benefit to anyone who works with the bereaved – teachers, ministers, celebrants, counsellors, social workers, funeral directors or any other professional who supports the bereaved or who works within end of life care. There is an opportunity for some delegates to attend a tour of the School of Anatomy at the UEA and find out more about what happens when a body is bequeathed for medical research. These places are limited and will be allocated on a strictly first come first served basis. Cost is £25 per delegate. Supporting organisations include MHFA England, Nelson’s Journey, pregnancy loss charity Time Norfolk, and Norfolk Suicide Bereavement Partnership.
