We currently have a vacancy for a trained and qualified Embalmer join our team based in Bedford.
About the role
As an experienced Embalmer, you will be well-versed in treating the deceased with respect and dignity. You will be the branch specialist in your field and will perform all of the duties expected of an Embalmer, including:
Preparation of the deceased
Checking on and assessing the deceased on a daily basis
Working closely with other team members to ensure we meet the client’s requirements for the deceased
Maintaining impeccable standards, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Adherence to the British Institute of Embalmers Code of Ethics and Code of Practice
Responsibility for ensuring all legal requirements are met prior to embalming
Responsibility for the cleanliness of the embalming suite
Liaising with the management team regarding any issues with the deceased
About you You will be a qualified Embalmer and an excellent communicator, with an exceptional can-do attitude. Pragmatic and emotionally resilient, you will view your role as vocational and have the deceased’s interest at the heart of everything you do. You will possess a complete and full understanding that the role you perform leaves no room for mistakes and you will strive for perfection at all times. The standard hours of work are 8:30am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday in Bedford with holiday and sickness cover at our Luton branch.
